INTRO
Our first Bakery School opened in August 2014 in Mumbai. The school is located on the premises of the Shiravane Vidyalaya & Jr. College situated in Nerul, Navi Mumbai.
With very few schools offering professional training in the sector, most youngsters just have to learn on the job. This was the prime motivation to set up a school to teach 16- and 17-year-olds the professional skills required to work across all three sectors – bakery, patisserie and chocolate-making.
Due to its success, more and more bakery schools are opening worldwide. The Bakery School in India is the reason hundreds of youngsters are no longer unemployed/unemployable.

The Indian Bakery School Foundation is a reflection of this; in our pursuit to enable a promising future for the children coming from underprivileged families.
My name is Mangesh Shelke and I got to know about the Bakery School India from Shiravane Vidyalaya college. The school’s environment is very pleasant and we learn new products every day. The teachers are very supportive and they help us to boost our confidence. At the time of joining this course, I didn’t know anything about the bakery industry but in the meantime I’ve learned so much and I’m eager to learn even more. Thanks to the Bakery School India for the opportunities given to students like us who wish to support their families and to become independent but don’t always have the means to follow management studies due to the high fees. I am grateful to all the members of the Bakery School family. They are working so hard to make our lives better.
